About Us

Buzzery is a gourmet Pizza and Mead restaurant, composed of some of the finest ingredients.

The combination of passion, experience and talent in each member of the Buzzery family, brings this establishment to life.

Updates

Earlier this year in 2022, Dave Magginnis stepped down as General Manager of the Buzzery to focus on his true passion and endless joy in life with pursuit of his Art career. 
He states, "I truly feel I'm finally doing what I was meant to be doing in life. There's no going back now!" He still lends his assistance when artwork is needed, but currently has no official position with the restaurant anymore.

Father and Mother, Jerry and Beverly Magginnis continue to keep things running like normal with help from good friend and Kitchen Manager, Paul Davis. Including the help from the others working there, it's in good hands. We still serve you in the same way that Andy and Dave would! And always to the best of our ability!

In 2020 The Hive was introduced and operated by Cana Best, just down the street from the Buzzery. It's a very nice looking little bar type environment with a quiet feel to it. You can just sit back and enjoy a drink or two while doing whatever they might have going on that day. They are well equipped with activities for adults, such as live music, karaoke, trivia and more!

Who We Are

Jerry Magginnis is literally the founding father of the Buzzery experience and the family that works in it. At his side and in the heart of the business, his wife Beverly directly influenced the original Buzzery recipes and restaurant design that you are enjoying today!

Cana and Dennie Best, owners of Best Apiaries significantly contribute to the creation of our mead, dough and pizza sauce, as they are the source of our sweetest ingredient, the honey.

Andy Magginnis was the brains behind the brawn in finding out everything we needed to know to get the Buzzery started. None of it would have been possible without him. The family suffered a great loss when Andy died in a car accident May 5th, 2017.

Dave Magginnis has been passionate about creation his whole life, which made him the obvious choice for ​Buzzery artist. Creating characters for the mead labels, Ads, Photos, Videos, Logos, and more! With the loss of his brother Andy, he has since taken on the role of General Manager and has become determined to not let the Buzzery die with his lost loved one.

Our History

2008 was the beginning of our adventure. Jerry discovered the wonders of mead making and with the supply of local honey by Cana and Dennie, exceptional concoctions were created. After several years of home brewing, we found that mead paired wonderfully with pizza.

​Jerry recruited long time restaurant manager Andy, with over 12 years of pizza crafting experience to join forces with the talents of
Bev's home cooking and Dave’s artistic ability. The whole family came together and created a true family business!
